Wooden boats have captivated adults and children since the first sailing vessels were constructed. Based in Seattle, a city surrounded by water, the Center for Wooden Boats is the top attraction in the city with 60,000 annual visitors. The center, which floats on water, offers an interactive, hand-on educational experience for participants.
The Tourism Cares Worldwide Grant assisted in the updgrade and redesign of an ADA-accessible entryway of the Center for Wooden Boats, Maritime Heritage Museum in the heritage style to allow all to visit regardless of physical challenges.
