The Historic Preservation Foundation of North Carolina, has stewardship of various properties, one of which is the Bellamy Mansion Museum of History and Design Arts.This 19th-century landmark is the only intact urban slave quarters of its kind in North Carolina, and one of only a handful in the South. The Tourism Cares grant assisted in the restoration and interpretation of the mansion’s extant urban slave quarters.
