A UNESCO World Heritage Site
The Petra National Foundation USA is an all volunteer organization that was established to promote greater understanding in the United States of the historic, archaeological, cultural, and environmental significance of the ancient city of Petra in southern Jordan. The very rare cave frescoes at Siq al Barid in Beidha are extensive 1st-century Nabataean mural paintings. The Tourism Cares grant helped conserve these wall paintings.
