The Purpose / Mission
Tourism Cares mission is to preserve the travel experience for future generations by building awareness and funding to preserve natural, cultural and historic assets of iconic or universal value to tourism destinations worldwide and educational opportunities.
The Global Outreach Plan (GO)
Over the past decade, Tourism Cares has been fulfilling its mission by providing hundreds of grants, organizing major tourism volunteer projects, awarding scholarships
and providing educational programs in North America. Only the grant programs reached globally. In 2012, Tourism Cares extended all three of its programs globally. After years of planning, Tourism Cares selected Peru as its first global outreach (GO) initiative and is now assessing and vetting other countries for future outreach.
