A vital part of the Tourism Cares mission is to distribute grants to worthy nonprofit, tax exempt, organizations for conservation, preservation, restoration, or education at tourism-related sites of exceptional cultural, historic, or natural significance around the world.

 

Tourism Cares has supported 183 sites, including dozens of national parks, in 43 states and 31 countries through its three Grant Programs:

 

  • Worldwide Grants
  • Special Grants provided in conjunction with Corporate Partners, and
  • Save Our Sites Program provided by donations from the traveling public

 

These grants total nearly $2.5 million, not including the additional impact of matching funds, which Tourism Cares encourages Worldwide Grant applicants to secure.
