Tourism Cares General Scholarship InformationTourism Cares awards scholarships primarily to students studying travel, tourism and hospitality in the United States and Canada. Educating our future workforce is vitally important to maintaining a high level of professionalism in the industry, and that is why Tourism Cares is an industry leader in student programs.
If you are interested in applying for any 2010 American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) or National Tour Association (NTA) academic
scholarships, please bookmark this page and return for detailed
information in February. Applications will be accepted during the Spring
semester of 2010 for scholarships that are awarded during the summer,
to be applied to the Fall 2010 semester. All academic scholarship recipients are invited to participate in the Tourism Cares Experience the Industry Student Program at the annual National Tour Association’s Convention held in November. At the event, students shadow mentors, who are travel industry veterans, during business appointments; participate in roundtable discussions about career paths; and take advantage of networking and learning opportunities. At that time, you will be able to access the STARS online application platform, which is designed to help you determine which scholarships you may eligible for, what documents are requested for different scholarships, and how to apply. The STARS application site requires Internet Explorer Version 6 or higher.
