2010 Tourism Cares Undergraduate Opportunities

In 2010, Tourism Cares presents the following undergraduate scholarship and internship opportunities. Please download and read our undergraduate scholarship information to determine your eligibility. This document includes eligibility requirements and requested items for each scholarship or internship offered.


Three scholarship programs are open to High School Seniors who will graduate in the spring of 2010. Please download and read our 2010 High School Senior scholarship information to determine if you are eligible.

Please note: all application materials, including college transcripts, letters of reference, proof of identity and any other required items must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15th, 2010. Tourism Cares 2010 scholarships and internships will be announced late May to be applied to the Fall 2010 semester or term.

American Society of Travel Agents and NTA Academic Scholarships:

  • ASTA Arizona Undergraduate Scholarship for $2,000
  • ASTA Northern California Chapter Richard Epping Undergraduate Scholarship at $2,000
  • ASTA Tourism Cares – Contiki Vacations Undergraduate Scholarship at $1,500
  • NTA Canada Undergraduate or Graduate Scholarship for $1,000
  • NTA Dave Herren Memorial Undergraduate or Graduate Scholarship for $1,000
  • NTA La Macchia Family Undergraduate Scholarship for $1,000
  • NTA State Undergraduate or Graduate Scholarships, 13 at $1,000 each
  • NTA Yellow Ribbon Undergraduate or Graduate Scholarship for $5,000

The following undergraduate scholarships are only open to students who are permanent residents of specific U. S. states or Canadian provinces:

  • NTA Alexander Harris Undergraduate Scholarship (NJ or NY) for $1,000
  • NTA California Undergraduate Scholarship for $1,750
  • NTA Connecticut Undergraduate Scholarship for $1,000
  • NTA Florida Undergraduate Scholarship for $1,500
  • NTA Hawai’i – Chuck Yim Gee Undergraduate Scholarship for $1,500
  • NTA Massachusetts Undergraduate Scholarship for $1,000
  • NTA Michigan Undergraduate Scholarship for $1,000
  • NTA New Horizons Kathy LeTarte Undergraduate Scholarship (MI) for $1,000
  • NTA New Jersey Undergraduate Scholarship for $1,000
