Tourism Cares Professional Development Scholarship and Internship Recipients

In 2011, Tourism Cares awarded 13 Professional Development Scholarships and Internships totaling $12,500. The Tourism Cares Scholarship Review Committee selects scholarship recipients each year from a large pool of qualified applicants. In addition to offering professional development scholarships and internships, Tourism Cares also offers academic scholarships and internships for undergraduate and graduate students in a travel-and-tourism or hospitality-related program of study.

The current endowment Tourism Cares administers, which totals nearly $2 million, includes the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), NTA, and IATAN Scholarship Funds.
